David Hazony was the Editor in Chief of Azure from 2004 to 2007. He is the editor of Essential Essays on Judaism by Eliezer Berkovits, published by Shalem Press. He received his M.A. in Jewish philosophy at Yeshiva University and is currently working on his Ph.D. in Jewish Thought from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He is one of the world's foremost authorities on Berkovits' thought and writings and was instrumental in founding the Eliezer Berkovits Institute of Jewish Thought at the Shalem Center.
