She holds a BA in political science and philosophy and an MA in political science from the Hebrew University and has been a visiting student at both Princeton University (2008) and the University of Chicago (2009-2010). As head of the Shalem Center's Project on Jewish Ideas in the West she served, from its founding in 2005, as associate editor of Hebraic Political Studies, Shalem's peer-reviewed journal that uncovers the Jewish political tradition and examines its place, alongside the traditions of Greece and Rome, in political history and the history of political thought. In August 2004, December 2006, and September 2008 Jones organized three large-scale international academic conferences, each attracting 70-110 participants from 7-10 countries on the topic of Political Hebraism: Judaic Sources in the History of Political Thought. The third of these conferences was held at Princeton University in cooperation with the Program in Judaic Studies there. She is co-editor, together with Fania Oz-Salzberger and Gordon Schochet, of Political Hebraism: Judaic Sources in Early Modern Political Thought (Shalem Press, 2008).
