Joshua Weinstein
Joshua Weinstein is an Associate Fellow in the Department of Philosophy, Political Theory and Religion at Shalem. He holds a BA in Physics from Princeton University, an M.A. in Philosophy from University of California at Irvine and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Hebrew University. He also studied Jewish law and thought at the R. Yitzchak Yechiel Yeshiva in Jerusalem.
Weinstein’s research interests include classical and modern philosophers (Plato, Aristotle, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Rorty), classical and modern Judaism (Bible, Talmud, Soloveitchik, Strauss), and general issues in moral psychology, philosophy of time, philosophy of mathematics, politics and human nature.
During 2009–2010, Weinstein is on leave as a Starr Fellow at the Center for Jewish Studies at Harvard University.
